We are delighted to be working with Luker Cacao as their UK agent and will be introducing this unique range in the coming weeks.

Relocating to premises in August

HB Ingredients has continually grown over the past few years and relocated to Uckfield in the summer of 2006. Initially we had a 3500 sq ft warehouse facility. But within 2 years we were bursting at the seams and took on another 3550sq ft warehouse and doubled our office facility this year.

With the knowledge that we are, yet again, outgrowing our needs, we have for the last eighteen months been trying to find suitable premises and are excited that at last we have found them.

During August, we will be moving to a new facility in Lewes, where we have a massive 14000sq ft warehouse, which with an eaves height of 7.1m, will enable us to store up to 1300 pallets. Also with over 4000sq ft of open-plan offices we will be able to include a training facility.

In additition, Lewes, being on the A27, with its connection to the A23/M23, will make it much easier for deliveries and visitors.

So you can plan ahead with your ordering some of our suppliers close for a period during the summer, so it may be beneficial to plan some of your orders ahead.

Appointment of New Sales Account Manager

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ian White as our new Account Manager in the West Country.

Ian, who will be based in the Taunton area, brings to HB Ingredients an in-depth knowledge of the Food Service Industry having spent the last 10 years in management positions within this sector. Prior to this he trained as a chef, becoming Head Chef of a Country House Hotel at the young age of 24 and then spending some time abroad as a Private Chef in India.

 All of this experience will enable him to assist our customers in their selection from our comprehensive product range, benefiting them to make more cost effective and original products.

During the coming months Ian will be in direct contact with those of you in the West Country, but in the meantime please do not hesitate to contact him.

The Prompt Payment Code, faciliated through the Institute of Credit Management (ICM), is a key initiative designed to encourage and promote best practice between organisations and their suppliers. Organisations that sign up for the code commit to paying their suppliers within clearly definded terms and commit also to ensuring there is a proper process for dealing with any invoices that are in dispute. Suppliers, meanwhile, have the assurance that they are dealing with a customer that sees value in building longer-term, sustainable partnerships within their supply chain.
