The First Trans-Atlantic "Carbon-Neutral" Delivery of Chocolate

After being delayed in the Channel Approaches for 4 days due to no wind, the Tres Hombres arrived at Gunwharf Quay Portsmouth, on Monday 21st. On board was her cargo of Grenada Chocolate Company bars, which was unloaded and is now in our warehouse at Lewes. The bars are in perfect condition, being kept in a temperture controlled compartment during the voyage, this being run by solar and wind generated power.

It has taken her 58 days in total to reach the UK from Grenada, with a 12 day stop in the Azores.

On her arrival, off the Isle of Wight, a production team from "Yachting Monthly" was transfered aboard for the final three hours sailing, until she pick up a tug that brought her into Gunwharf Quay. The four page article will be in next months edition.
