World Chocolate Masters - UK Heat Results



HB Ingredients were pleased to co-sponsor the World Chocolate Masters UK heat, which was held at The Restaurant Show, Earls Court 2 on the 11th and 12th October.
As the winner, John Costello of Park Cakes will be going to Paris next year to represent the UK in the World Chocolate Masters Final.

During the two days there was a lot the contestants had to complete, not only completing their "Showpiece", by 12 noon on the second day, but also preparing "dipped pralines", "moulded praline", "chocolate entremet","chocolate dessert" and a "cold chocolate drink". The "cold chocolate drink" had to be made using only ingredients given to the contestants in a mystery box.

On behalf of everyone at HB Ingredients we would like to congratulate John Costello the winner of UK Chocolate Masters and to all of the contestants for taking part in this event. We wish John the best of luck for the heat in Paris and wish his fellow contestants good luck for the future.

The HB Ingredients stand, at the Restaurant Show, showcased Pidy Gourmet, the world leader in pastry products. We were priveleged to have one of the Pidy Corporate Chefs, Marc der Haegen, on our stand. Marc carried out a daily demonstration showing the versatility and ease of use that the Pidy Products give.
